Tanuki by Crustz

A quaint, tucked-away space noted for its curated selection of desserts and ice cream. The premise was drastically transformed from its original shop lot make-up to an airy, semi-open space consists of an enclosed dine-in area, accessed via a Japanese-inspired open walkway. The transformation was achieved by partially removing the intermediate flooring, allowing natural sunlight from polycarbonate covered skylight to illuminate the open walkway, creating a more naturally-infused setting. The overall spatial journey from the doorway to the dine-in area offers a refreshing respite to the commerciality of the net lettable area, emphasizing the importance of aesthetic approach and enhancing the commercial value of the space.
