Phrase from "Critique of Pure Reason" | 《

This domain is an island and enclosed by nature itself within limits that can never be altered. It is the country of truth (a very charming name), but surrounded by a wide and stormy ocean, the true home of illusion, where many a fogbank and fast-melting ice-floe tempts us to believe in new lands, while constantly deceiving the adventurous mariner with vain hopes, and involving him in adventures which he can never abandon and yet can never bring to an end.

- Immanuel Kant, "Critique of Pure Reason"
